Establish a thriving community of active gamers and generate demand for tokenized rewards that can be held and securely traded. As the zkEcosystem grows, so does the userbase and the value of rewards. Projects from early participants will be well positioned to benefit.
Ideal candidates will develop or adapt a web or cross-platform game format, such as an RPG, matching game or platformer.
The aim is to generate on-chain activity while remaining low-stakes in case of bugs and usability issues.
Requirements and User Stories
Participants will need a working knowledge of Solidity to qualify for this grant. Successful projects will require the following user stories to be met:
- Player’s in-game identity must be associated with a testnet address they control.
- Non-fungible tokens (NFTs):
◦ Tokens are minted for player achievements, or as functional in-game items that affect gameplay.
◦ Players can view their minted tokens in a simple list view.
◦ Players can transfer their tokens to another address.
◦ Players receiving a token transfer can decide whether or not to add the NFT to their in-game library.
◦ Players will experience any gameplay effects associated with the NFT when it is added to their library and until it is transferred to that of another player.
Notes on code
• All code must be licensed correctly.
• Adopting a unique twist on existing code is acceptable.
